3 through 5 years

In the Explorer Room we focus on child-led play and learning.  It’s all about letting children “go” to do what they are intrinsically motivated to do:  explore, learn and grow.  Through their play the children will become aware of and learn how to manage conflict resolution, self-regulation, gain confidence, work on problem solving skills, and learn social skills and empathy. Independence and self-sufficiency are promoted in everything we do. We believe that children learn best through authentic applications using loose parts, provocations and open-ended materials.

Children in the Explorer Room must meet the age requirements, 3 or 4 by September 1st (of the school year in which the child intends to enroll). They are encouraged to enroll in Trinity’s preschool program. Children may choose full-time or part-time preschool for both 3K and 4K and attend childcare when not in school. Wrap around care tuition is available. Please speak with the school office or the childcare director for further information.

We believe that if a child is given the freedom to develop through play, the results will be seen at all stages of life.

We have an open door policy. Parents are welcome to visit or call the center at any time.
